In just eight days we move to our new offices away from the main university campus, and into a remodeled insane asylum.
I'm still not sure how to take that, & haven't found out yet whether or not they've left the padding on on my office walls.
About half of our staff is excited about the move, and the rest of us are sure that something will go wrong, & we'll spend at least a week sitting on the floor as we work, waiting for our furniture to arrive.
I'm a little more concerned with getting the feng-shui right in my office, as there is a ghost in the wing from a nurse who died on the premises. That's lucky, I guess; the other end of the building houses the ghost of a patient who committed suicide by sneaking a gun into the ward when he was checked in.
Until then, there are boxes to be packed, furniture to be tagged if it is going & a strategy to be stratergerized for getting all fifty odd computers to the new offices and set up for everyone.
